CM-SA Skin Analysis
Available from:
Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc.
The CA-SA works in combination with a Konica Minolta spectrophotometer to measure the color of skin simultaneously with a numerical display of the Melanin Index, Hemoglobin (Hb) Index, and Hemoglobin oxygen saturation (Hb SO2) Index. When used with a CM-700D/CM-600D, measurements can be done portably simply by applying the instrument lightly to the examinee’s skin and pressing a button. This is extremely useful in the field of skin research and development since there is an increasing demand for these measurements. For example, such measurements are used for matching cosmetics and measuring sun tanning effects on skin to prevent damage. This instrument is ideal since it enables a highly-accurate reading of melanin pigmentation without it being affected by the skin’s redness. This product has a Bluetooth function which enables wireless communication with a PC. Data can also easily be grouped by examinee with a function to automatically link groups when a number of measurements are reached. Simply preset a number of measurements that are needed per person. Once that number is reached, it begins grouping the next set for the following examinee. Data can be output in CSV text format for further analysis or management using Excel or various other spreadsheet programs.
