Located 30 miles east of Tulsa, MidAmerica is a 9,000-acre manufacturing, processing and distribution center. Known as Oklahoma’s largest industrial park, MidAmerica owns a Regional Business Airport with a 5,000-foot runway, and the wastewater and water treatment plants. Operations at the park are directed by public trust established to enhance economic development and job creation efforts in Northeast Oklahoma. MidAmerica’s convenient location is logistically perfect for firms that must serve clients on a “just in time” basis in the middle of the nation. Due to the ability to reduce operating costs by 20 to 70 percent, the park is the home for many plastics firms including Performance Pipe, Interplastics, and Berry Plastics. Nearly 80 firms are located within the park including divisions of seven “Fortune 500,” eight “Global 500,” and 16 publicly traded brands including Google.
