Reiloy Westland Cylinders are "AS TOUGH AS YOUR APPLICATIONS".
We manufacture new and rebuilt cylinders for customers processing a variety of thermoplastic and thermoset materials.
The material found to be most resistant to adhesive and abrasive wear is A-11 tool steel. This particle metallurgy tool steel has large quantities of small, evenly dispersed vanadium carbides that enable remarkable wear results.
Reiloy Westland has performed wear tests on more than 60 different wear resistant materials to determine those best suited for use in the manufacture of cylinders and screws. In cases of extreme corrosion, nickel alloys are used to line the cylinders.
