At FET Engineering we offer vacuum forming production services, with applications in a range of industries including automotive, aircraft, medical, construction, home and bath, agriculture, and heavy trucking among others. We utilize male and female mold types, and offer in-mold grain (IMG) and in-mold grain lamination (IMGL) expertise for the cost-effective one step production of a variety of decorative effects and aesthetic textures.

Our process incorporates billow forming procedures, plug assist, and snap back forming which is useful for deep drawing with uniform wall thicknesses. Molding is carried out with PVC, TPU, and vinyl materials. Our state of the art facility is equipped with a variety of advanced automated machinery, including our new Macc 75S vacuum forming machine featuring adjustable clamp framing which can be moved during forming, platen motors with absolute encoders to control speed and position, servo controlled ball valves, two 35 gpm water heaters/pumps, and programmable operation. Our quartz oven features 54 lower zones, 110 upper zones and 1 infrared heat sensor.

Machinery size capabilities include a platen size of 84” x 60”, and clamp frame opening of 86” x 62”, able to handle material sheet sizes of up to 88” x 64”. These systems allow for the cost-effective processing of prototypes, trials, and low volume production.
