The laser welding capabilities available at FET Engineering are ideal for precision work and handling of small parts. We employ free hand operation methods, utilizing state of the art equipment such as the Alpha Laser ALFlak 200 flexible laser device for deposit and contour welding.
With a welding rod diameter down to .005”, laser micro welding and deep channel repairs are performed with outstanding results. Repairs, grain rework, and countermeasures are executed on parts composed of nickel, brass, aluminum, tool steel, stainless steel, and titanium.
All work is fully inspected and tested for accuracy and integrity, implementing such measures as hardness and ultrasonic thickness, along with CMM and FaroArm laser scan inspection methods.
