Chesterton's sealing solutions are designed to help plastic manufacturers increase reliability, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity. Our seals have been proven to allow faster, more precise, repeatable cycling for higher production runs and extended service life, while reducing environmental concerns related to leakage.
Chesterton's proprietary thermoset materials are formulated with high-abrasion, cut-and-extrusion resistance, with low-compression set properties—enabling proper sealing force for the life of the seal. This includes a custom-blended lower durometer material specifically designed to conform to surface irregularities to better control leakage of worn or scored equipment. All of our thermoset materials have built-in molybdenum disulfide that lower the frictional forces and help to extend seal life.
