Product Details

Typically, PTFE is an ideal choice for a wide range of applications. Occasionally, additional “fillers” and materials are added to enhance PTFE products for use in specific applications. These “Filled PTFEs” usually maintain their original chemical and thermal resistance characteristics, while also exhibiting improved strength, stability, and/or durability.

Enflon Compounds

Enflon Filled PTFE products offer a wide variety of improved material characteristics and properties. Enflo offers the following standard fills and can duplicate most PTFE blends:

High Performance Materials (ENFLON 166 - Maroon in color, provides high wear resistance and low friction in continuous, non-lubricated service. Good dielectric and insulation properties. Use for bearings, gaskets, high pressure applications requiring robust components. Alternative to Rulon® LR; ENFLON 168 - Gold in color, used for low abrasion and against soft surfaces. Low coefficient of friction, designed to run dry without lubrication. Alternative to Rulon® J; ENFLON 169 - Maroon in color, has high wear and chemical resistance properties. Designed to run dry without lubrication. Use in seal, piston cup and bearing applications. Alternative to Rulon® AR; ENFLON 175 - White in color, offers excellent load and wear resistance, good chemical resistance. FDA compliant. Designed to run dry without lubrication.
