Operating principle:
In the cutter-compactor, the incoming material is cut up and heated to just below the agglomeration point by frictional heat. Residual moisture evaporates and is extracted with a vacuum. This allows material with high residual moisture to be processed without pre-drying. Special guide features compact the material and direct it into the extruder screw. An electrically driven slider ensures optimal filling of the screw.
