Additives
Vertellus manufactures several materials which are used at small usage or additive levels in the formulation of certain classes of products to improve performance. Alkyl succinic anhydrides are the bigger class of additives and are used as corrosion inhibitors in lubricants and metal working fluids. Lubricin N-1 is used in the same products to impart lubricity and give a bright finish in the case of metal working fluids. Castorwax is used in metal drawing lubricants, as a processing aid for rubber and plastics, in wax polishes, and in paper coatings for food packaging and plug valve greases. DPP is used as a component of polyamide hot melt adhesives.
