As a custom manufacturer, we serve a variety of industries. Our diverse portfolio is healthy for our customers, coworkers, and supply chain: we deliver, even when some markets are struggling. We are three distinct business units, operating in separate facilities across Northwest Pennsylvania: Molding, Assembly, and Recycling.

Injection molding takes place in our Lake City facility, which is ISO-9001 certified. Our 27 presses range in size from 55 to 850 tons, including a 200-ton, 2-shot injection molding machine. The production area is climate-controlled to help our efficiencies and ensure product consistency. We are an industrial molder who operates in a lean fashion. Our on-site tool room provides preventive maintenance and changes to molds. Our tool and die partners assist with new tooling and so on. Both domestic and overseas mold construction is available.

Our Assembly plant is located on Erie's east side. We recently purchased our first collaborative robot, which is very exciting! Decorating capabilities include silk-screen, pad print, heat-transfer / labeling, and hot stamp. We assemble a variety of products for our customers using any number of technologies: ultrasonic weld, heat stake, mechanical, gluing, and more. Engineered Plastics offers kitting: shrink tunnel and bag sealing. Our bagger line is well-suited to fasteners and similar. This system gives customers accurately packaged product using optics and learning capabilities for up to five different components.

Engineered Plastics' Recycling Center is in west Erie, where we work with post-industrial waste that is not limited to thermoplastics. Regarding plastics, we buy scrap to prevent them from going to landfill. Some of our users are in the market for plastic flake or pellets. Tolling is offered: receive your plastic waste (purge, scrap parts, runners); grind it to flake or pelletize it; return it to you as an input to your process once more. Customers range from compounders to converters. When it comes to pelletizing, we focus on Polyolefins.
