Pennsylvania College of Technology – Plastics Innovation & Resource Center

Rating: 5/5 - (3 reviews)
The plastics and polymer engineering technology program at Penn College is one of only seven in the nation accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, and the only one that utilizes industry-grade equipment for all five major plastic manufacturing processes. It offers both Associate and Baccalaureate degrees that have the graduates find employment across a broad spectrum of the polymer industry.

As an extension of the College’s Workforce Development department, the Plastics Innovation & Resource Center (PIRC) works directly with a variety of polymer industry companies to provide customized training, apprenticeship, hands-on workshops, PROcess modules utilizing digital twining technology, testing, R&D projects, material validation and process optimization. The Center serves the needs of plastic processors, resin suppliers, mold builders and equipment manufacturers. All of these interactions are enhanced through the support of its highly skilled and professionally experienced training and consulting staff.
